CENSUS 2021
As you are aware, Census 2021 has begun – Canadian households received their unique access code in the mail, and are encouraged to complete their census questionnaire online by May 11th – it is safe, quick, and easy. Households without reliable Internet access can contact the Census Help Line at 1-855-340-2021 to complete their census questionnaire over the phone, or to request a paper copy.
Statistics Canada is seeking the Nigerian Association of Manitoba’s partnership, to help make the 2021 Census a success by encouraging census completion, and sharing the benefits and positive impact of the census. Thus, we encourage all our community members to support in the Federal Government call to participate in Census 2021.
Attached is the Community Supporter Toolkit offers materials on the census information to members in our community to participate in this exercise. These include:
- Census explainer videos (what is it, why is it important, how do I complete the questionnaire, how has COVID affected the census, and others)
- The census and you – fact sheet available in 25 languages
- Poster and Bookmarks
- Social media content
- Census messaging for social media influencers
We invite you to learn more about the 2021 Census on their census website and to follow their official social media accounts.
