Personality of the Week

Meet Prince Joel Oyatoye aka Baba Asa.

He is a Seasoned Presenter of note. Baba ASA, fondly called, is passionate about revitalizing our ancient artistry; he believes in the wondrous treasure of art, collects art so much with a mystic passion, and his commitment to culture is larger than life. He is well known for his dedication to culture and tourism.

Born in early 80s, in Kwara State, Nigeria, where he had both his primary and secondary education before leaving the shore of Nigeria to Canada, to further his education.

Oyatoye who is from a royal family, is passionate about Yoruba art and culture, and the zeal for promoting his indigenous language, dressing, lifestyle, art and culture across the globe has been with him right from his childhood, due to his late father, High Chief Titus OyatoyeTitiloye influence.

Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye has always been proud of his heritage; and has made it his mission to preserve it as he recently founded the museum, located at 617 St. Mary’s Rd., which specializes in Yoruba cultural heritage.

Simply visit or book an appointment for a FREE museum tour with Baba Asa and his team to see the Museum’s unique art, symbols and masterpiece. The first of its kind in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Wellness for Wells Bowling Event

In 2023, clean drinking water is still not accessible to many families in rural communities in Nigeria. Newborns and children risk getting a water-borne disease from drinking dirty water. This year again, help us dig 10 more wells in 10 more communities.

Wear white and join us for an afternoon of glow bowling for wells to have fun and win prizes. Together we can help others access clean water. Double the fun and double your impact; team up with family and friends to attend. Receive a participation certificate, an event-branded bottle of water, and be entered for a raffle draw at the event!
