Film funding opportunity
CINEMATOBA is a new filmmaking initiative for five Manitobans to share stories of local generosity. The program provides funding and filmmaking support for the creation of five original stories about the province.
This is a unique media production and mentorship opportunity for any Manitoban, aged 18 and over, regardless of filmmaking experience level. There is no cost to apply.
Each participant will receive a $10,000 cash award from The Winnipeg Foundation to produce a short film based on their story idea.

Food Safe Handler’s Training
DMSMCA’s PREP Employment Readiness Program will be hosting a Safe Food Handler’s Training Orientation and Information Session on May 27 from 10 am – Noon.
Orientation and Information Session attendance is mandatory if you are interested in registering for training. Acceptance into the training program is subject to approval.
Training is online and self-directed on June 2nd or 3rd from 10 am – 4 pm. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of Winnipeg, MB, unemployed or underemployed, eligible to work in Canada, currently looking for work and have a valid social insurance number.
