NAMI Scholarship 2025/2026- Supporting Nigerian Students in Manitoba
About the Scholarship
The Nigerian Association of Manitoba Inc. (NAMI), through its Scholarship Awards Committee (NAMISAC), proudly offers an annual scholarship to outstanding students of Nigerian descent enrolled in post-secondary institutions across Manitoba. This initiative is made possible through an endowment fund established with the Winnipeg Foundation. Each year, as part of our commitment to education and community development, we recognize exceptional students who not only excel academically but also actively volunteer with NAMI and its affiliated organizations.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen legally residing in Manitoba
- Be currently enrolled in a Manitoba post-secondary institution (any field)
- Be a member of NAMI or an associated organization
- Be a volunteer for NAMI or an associated organization
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.5 (or 70% for new high school graduate applicants)
- Not have received a NAMI scholarship in the past 12 months
💡 This award is based on merit, not financial need.
How to Apply
To complete your application, submit the following documents:
- Recent transcript or academic report
- A short biographical essay describing your community involvement and contributions to NAMI and/or NAMI-associated organizations.
- Proof of membership (dues receipt or letter)
- Reference letter from NAMI or a NAMI-associated organization confirming volunteer service
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to an interview.
