Let’s Continue To Support Nami Scholarship Fund, Thank You!

NAMI appreciates a model that guarantees funds to the scholarship for our youth in perpetuity. We sincerely thank those who have donated, and we also encourage others to do the same. All year round, we encourage people in our community to visit The Winnipeg Foundation website to donate with a minimum of $10 to NAMI Scholarship Fund at the link here to support our community youth education which was inaugurated last year. “Make this donation in celebration, honour or memory of someone.” Thank you! https://www.mycharitytools.com/gift/wpgfdn/donate?fund=1077

Anti-Racist Youth Lab.

This is an amazing opportunity for young people and youth leaders from our community to join their peers across the country at a three-day Anti-racist Youth Lab taking place in Toronto from March 24-26, 2023.

This event is being organized by Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) and offers Youth leaders an opportunity to build skills that improve their capacity to sustain or scale their anti-racism initiatives.

It is open to youth leaders between the ages of 18 to 30 who have formed or created a club, organization, coalition, network, or any other initiative whose mission focuses on anti-racism work in Canada. Your Initiative does not have to be incorporated as a nonprofit or charity.

Participation in the Youth Lab is free for attendees. Travel and stay in Toronto will be subsidized for a limited number of participants.

The Youth Lab will create space for youth leaders to connect with one another, learn new skills such as grant writing, advocacy and organizational development, and share their anti-racism work. The selected youth will be representing their organizations during the entirety of the event.

We encourage our youth leaders to avail themselves of this opportunity to make new connections with anti-racist youth leaders from across the country. ACOMI will support and guide the applicants through the application process to ensure that our community is represented at this event.

Interested youth leaders should contact the undersigned via info@acomi.ca cc: dorothy.harmon@acomi.ca  on or before Friday, February 3, 2023, to express their interest or for enquiries
