Celebrating Our Heritage and Unity
Dear NAMI Family,
Welcome to this special edition of our NAMI newsletter, dedicated entirely to celebrating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day! This historic milestone marks the first time our beloved Nigerian flag was proudly hosted at the Manitoba Legislature, officially recognizing October 1st as Nigerian Independence Day in our province.
In this edition, we bring you a pictorial chronicle that captures the essence of this remarkable journey. From the inspiring flag-hoisting ceremony at the Manitoba Legislature to the grand celebration at Alloway Hall in the Manitoba Museum, and the heartfelt thanksgiving that followed, we aim to showcase the pride, joy, and unity of our community. See link for our Independence Day Celebration photos – https://bit.ly/3Y0sOeO
This moment is a powerful reminder of our heritage, the resilience of our people, and the contributions we continue to make in building a vibrant and inclusive Manitoba. We hope these images and stories will inspire you, just as they have inspired us, to keep moving forward with a renewed sense of purpose and togetherness.
As we reflect on our achievements and look to the future, let us continue to celebrate our culture, support each other, and honour the legacy of our ancestors who paved the way for our freedom.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. Together, we rise!
